Spessartine Garnet
What a feeling to work with truly beautiful stones, here a spessartine garnet (3.38 ct). I smiled through the entire process of making this ring, careful not to encase the stone on the back. If you hold it up to the light, you can see its beautiful color shining through.Apparently, the most sought-after spessartines can be found in Namibia or Nigeria. Now I have a reason to visit those places too ;)
Mohs hardness: 6.5-7.5 (attaching Mohs scale, just in case)
