All's well that ends well

Oh, what a year!!! The start with corona made me strangely sick almost the entire year with a total loss of taste and smell. This was then followed by parosmia and anosmia. Panic attacks followed one after another, and every time I exercised and pushed myself a little extra, an asthma attack was triggered, interspersed with panic attacks. I had aches in my legs and arms on and off and a persistent hawking cough throughout the year. A crappy virus, in other words. The difficulties were balanced by my increased... Read more...

I never thought I would, it feels like I'm playing all the time. The latest news is my TikTok page, which is also called cejewleryandartwork, just like on Instagram. I just thought it was for young people, but seriously, why is that?I've created a world around my jewelry making where I just love to dabble in the different social media platforms. I have a 21-year-old sidekick who teaches me all the latest news in media :)Love her!Click the link:FinalVideo_1626261997.249458  Read more...
This thing with owning your own company
|Camilla
When you have a small business on the side of your main job, I can easily say that the hours of the day are well utilized. Unfortunately, my social life suffers quite significantly, and any free time I have must be dedicated to all the other main tasks that everyday life demands.I'm certainly not complaining; I truly love working on various projects in my company, and the combination of work, hobbies, everyday life, and exercise are elements I've carefully chosen. I can imagine it's difficult for some people who have... Read more...

It was time for some new business cards with updated information. I have changed so much in my social media and mobile number now over a long period of time. Finally, all current information is now in place. I was a bit worried about how everything would fit on such a small card without it becoming too cluttered. I still think it turned out well, just before it became too much. In other words, I'm satisfied :) Read more...

COVID-19
|Camilla
I kicked off the year by getting COVID-19, which completely knocked me out. After 17 days of quarantine, I posted an Instagram story saying I was on the mend and could resume my jewelry making where I left off.An hour later, I ended up in the emergency room and was admitted for a couple of hours with an IV drip and inhalation treatment. Damn, it was the worst experience I've ever had. Fainting spells followed one after another with severe hyperventilation, leading to shortness of breath.I was allowed to go... Read more...

SlättarpsgårdenLife is moving at a furious pace and a lot has happened. If I consider the period between Formex and now, I haven't done anything but work, both at my regular job and my beloved hobby.Working with unique collections, not mass production that requires factory manufacturing, is definitely my thing. From idea to a fully fledged product that will eventually be worn by someone for whom it will mean a lot – that's precisely the feeling of joy I'm passionate about.Right now, I'm at https://slattarpsgard.se/ in Skegrie, exhibiting two of... Formex afterwards

Stockholm Fair FormexIt's been so much fun to be at Formex, even though the days were long. I've met incredibly talented and creative entrepreneurs, both new and those who are true elites. I realize it's important to be involved in a lot within your industry; there's so much around entrepreneurship that's crucial to both understand and learn about for the next step. The fair also offered tons of inspiring speakers who talked about everything from marketing to pure craftsmanship. I could write endlessly, but what I can say is that I'm... Read more...
Formex fair

Formex, StockholmsmässanGoodness, there's so much to think about before a fair, but it's so worth it. Completely exhausted after the first day with all the impressions and new people. I understand why this fair is called the largest in the Nordic region. What spaces and what booths!Already on the first day, I met a lot of nice and skilled designers in various fields. Lots of tips and ideas were shared, and contacts were made. There are 19 of us who were selected for Design Talents, and all of them are incredibly... Read more...

It's getting closerThe Formex fair is approaching and I am currently working every waking minute.I've started working at my regular job now, but that's no excuse not to continue with my jewelry making when I get home. I now understand people who have staff for everything in their company: photographers, web designers, customer contacts, etc.I'm not at that stage, so I have to do everything myself. Luckily, it's so incredibly fun, but as usual, I'm screaming for more hours in a day! Read more...

Once every six months
|Camilla
Once every six monthsI should get an award for the worst updated blog! I've been through a renovation of many areas in the house, and it has been anything but a pleasant experience. We've lived in complete chaos for seven damn months. The creativity and energy to make jewelry almost completely disappeared, and I couldn't get into my workshop as it was crammed with building materials. Finally, I can breathe again, and the renovation is finished! My creative spark has been reawakened, and I'm in full swing with a couple of wedding rings❤️How... Now I'm finally on vacation, so I have high expectations for myself to get around to doing what I love most. Relaxing is not for me!Among other things, I've gotten some of my products into Monica's store in Västra Hamnen in Malmö and had a jewelry mingle on May 29th. Thailand
|Camilla
A lot has happened! The best thing about Thailand, besides the climate, must surely be these skilled artisans. We visited Gems Gallery Pattaya, which gave us a tour of artificial mines and how mineral extraction works. We also saw how the artisans created pieces in gold, silver, sapphires, and various settings. I didn't want to leave, but everything has its limits, as they say. I bought a Black Star (Sapphire), and they issue a "certificate of guarantee." It feels extra special then ;) Read more...

PaintingsGoodness, I'm constantly working on myself. "Procrastination sickness" is probably what you'd call it. Jewelry orders have taken up all my time, and when I do get spare time, I do absolutely nothing even though I want to. I'll have my own studio by the sea someday, I can already picture it. No stress, lots of joy and love, and fantastic works created from the feeling of simply being <3The procrastination sickness has reached its peak, I finally got started, here with bones, gold leaf, and feathers.    Read more...
Course

Silversmithing CourseI'll never be a blogger with month-long periods between updates. I've gone all in with renovating my home; I just can't stop. I'm now working on the kitchen, which is getting its makeover. Before that, I tackled the hallway and my daughter's bedroom. Renovating is just as much fun as crafting. If I manage to retire, I certainly won't be bored. The silversmithing courses are now running again. Read and consider what you'd like to learn this autumn. Perhaps crafting is something you've always wanted to learn. Now's your chance... Read more...

citrine
|Camilla
Raw Citrine Point It is said that citrine is a joyful and positive stone, exactly the qualities that are attractive. The name comes from lemon because of its yellow color. I really like the stone as it stimulates us to see the bright side of life. It helps us to express ourselves in social contexts, have fun in life, laugh and play. You can wear it as an amulet to strengthen your inner self and increase confidence in your own ability to create and be in the present. If you... Read more...

philosophy of life
|Camilla
To dare! This image says it exactly as it is, just need to add "COURAGE" to this and life becomes a little more fun to live. Dare to fight with light in focus and let the dark demons entangle themselves in the ether without being able to reach you. Being able to do this probably requires a dose of courage too, but that quality is probably innate, so make sure to find it again if it has been absent for a while! Fighting with light in focus is truly something I... Read more...
